Still Waiting
Doesn't look like we will have results until Dr. Hunt gets back from a seminar on Thursday, unless another doctor will call us. Waiting is pretty hard, but we don't have much choice. Dave is still feeling good and keeping his spirits up. We are looking forward to having family around for the holidays.

AWAITING RESULTS
Dave had his PET scan done yesterday in Kalispell, and pretty much slept through it. We are now waiting to hear from Dr. Hunt on the results. The waiting is what is hard, but we are keeping busy and trying not to get too anxious. Last night was the Christmas party for the city employees, held at the Whitefish Lake Lodge, so that helped putting the test in the back of our minds. It was so nice seeing everyone again and being able to spend time with friends. The food was great too! I will be posting as soon as we hear anything - keep those prayers coming! THANK YOU again!

Ripley
Yesterday sure didn't end in a happy note; we had to take Ripley to Whitefish Animal Hospital (they are great!!) because of a distended abdomen and not eating for a couple of days. He ended up being x-rayed, put on IV hydration and stayed overnight. I don't know who it was harder on, us or Ripley!! Today was much better news; he finally "pooped" and also has a kidney infection. He's home now and on antibiotics, and is much happier. SO ARE WE!!! Dave had a busy day at work and attended a 911 meeting in Kalispell. He even had the strength to pick Ripley up at the vets! I had a day off today and spent it enjoying Molly, Stella and Sully! Also was able to get in some visiting time with my mom, so it was a great day for the Sipes.

PET SCAN on THURSDAY
Dave's PET scan is Thursday morning at 8 a.m. - please pray for good results. He seems to be doing pretty good, although he didn't seem quite himself over the weekend. It could have something to do with "concern" over the upcoming PET scan. I know that it is always in the back of my mind too. We are both so thankful for everyone's continued prayers and support. Friends and family have gotten us this far and we appreciate you more than words alone can express.

Looking forward to the weekend
It's been a busy, hectic week, but all is well! We are so grateful to be in our own home! I don't think we will ever take it for granted again. Dave is working full-time now (can't say I'm surprised), but he is pretty tired by the end of the day. He has had a little trouble with edema (water retention) in his ankles, but that is just a result of being on his feet too much (try telling him that)! Hopefully, this weekend he will slow down a bit. I know I am going to! His PET scan is scheduled for December 13th, and prayers are really appreciated.

Another 3 lbs.
Dave's doctor appointment on the 20th went well, and he has gained another 3 lbs. , and Dr. Hunt was pleased with his progress. We had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner. Now it's time to get serious about Christmas! Not much else to report right now, but will keep everyone "posted". Dave will have his CT scan sometime in Dec.

Early to Bed
Dave wasn't feeling real good today; got up this morning feeling more on the weak side, but ate a good breakfast of hashbrowns, sausage gravy and toast. He was having some body aches, so he just might have a touch of the flu. If he isn't better tomorrow, I'll try to talk him into seeing the doc and having some lab drawn. Tomorrow is the anniversary of his lymphoma diagnosis - boy what a year this has been. We are sure hoping 2008 will be better!
