Collection a Success

What a relief! The collection of stem cells has been a success - they collected 4 million today so that gives us 1 million over the mark. Dave's pretty happy as that means no more growth factor shots. We can now have a quiet weekend; he only needs to have lab draws every day. They do that through his Hickman catheter which makes it fast and painless. We might even get to see some Seattle attractions if he feels up to it. After having such a busy week, he wears out pretty fast.

  1. Congrats big brother.I told you I would bat cleanup if needed. I'm still there if you need anything. You sounded great tonight. Like a a relief was lifted off your back. You probablly could have done 4 million more if needed. Well I guess I will call you tomorrow. Have a great weekend. Little brother Rich

  2. What a relief! I'm so glad you don't have to give yourself those shots anymore! I'm sure you are too! Tomorrow is the big benefit night, they are thinking about 4-5 hundred for a turn out. You have no idea what an impact you've made on the community.....you are so loved. -Molly

  4. Jennifer & Dave, It is so good to be able to track Dave's progress. Thanks for doing the blog, Jennifer, and thanks for sharing it with us, Rich! The gals doing the benefit tonight have done a miraculous job; posters are abundant throughout the valley, and lots of people are planning on attending. I hope you can 'feel the love'. We send you ours...
