SPAM (the canned kind)

Well, I actually did something that I swore would never happen - I bought Spam! To Dave, this is a delicacy and, I think, it reminds him of his childhood. Whatever the reason, I broke down and bought some; anything, to get him to eat. And, guess what, it worked. I fried (yes, fried) up a piece this morning and Dave remarked "wow, this is good", and he actually ate it. I think it woke up his taste buds as he ate pretty good this evening too. I guess I will do whatever it takes!!! I'll never make fun of Spam again.

  2. If Dave is eating spam then his stomach is fine. His mind may be effected, but not his gut. Have him try some good food. I loved chicken pot pies. Marie Callenders lets you brown the crust even in the microwave; Ians has the most protein 25 grams per pie and they are good too. Talk to your nutritionist. Tell Dave the spam test worked.

  3. It must be a man thing. Larry loved it fried or cold - with potatoes or on a sandwich. I personally like to KNOW what I'm eating. But hey! whatever it takes to wake up those taste buds and get Dave eating works! Jennifer, I hope you had a nice organic salad..... :) joey
    p.s. loved your response, Molly!

  4. Jenn...Great going. Who would've
thought Spam. Personally, I'm a fan of spam myself. Karen and the kids call it mystery meat, but whatever it takes, right? At least Dave's eating and he likes it like Mikey.Ha Ha...

  5. Glen - thanks for the suggestions and Dave says chicken pot pies really sound good, but he's allergic to anything with processed chicken in it; he has to have all natural chicken. If I can find such a thing at the Metropolitan Market or Whole Foods, I'll give it a try. Jennifer
