Passing Time

Thanks to Gary and Kathy Kuhn for coming and brightening our day. We are now playing the waiting game and Dave certainly doesn't like to wait. Every day we sit around and do nothing, is another day we could be home! Dave didn't feel very good this morning, but felt much better by afternoon. I think company really helped him! He ate a good lunch and had cheesecake with blueberries as a dessert this evening. Tomorrow he has lab and a clinic visit. We are hoping they will take him off the IV hydration. I keep handing him water, Pedialyte, Gatoraide, etc. to encourage him to stay hydrated. He isn't always happy about that, but somebody has to take care of him, right???? We are going to watch the movie "Wild Hogs" this evening; hopefully, that will make him laugh a bit. Laughter is the best medicine.

  1. Dave and Jennifer, they never tell you you are ready to go home until one day they come in and tell you to call home make an appointment with your oncologist and then they take a week to get you ready, with long term followup, nutritionist and social worker meetings. But you are doing great, so I think you will go home right around Labor Day. So if your CT is Monday, be ready at your next appointment to have them tell you to get ready. The end is near! Good Luck.
